A great system!

When I saw the sleep again pillow system online it gave me hope! I’ve been worried about needing to sleep on my back after my mastectomy, feeling like it would be impossible to get any needed rest after my surgery. ( I have never in my life ever been able to sleep on my back!) The pillow system is so comfortable! I was also wondering if I could get in and out of it easily ( since our bed is pretty high). No problem! A little practice trial before surgery was all that was needed. What a God-sent this system is! I love being able to sleep in my own bed and have my husband right beside me to take care of me!😊. Thanks a million for making my life easier during a challenging time.

Post Surgery Necessity

I had a bilateral mastectomy five days ago and had purchased the Pillow System Bundle in anticipation of being required to sleep on my back afterwards (I am a side sleeper). I also tried the pillow system for a couple of nights pre-surgery and slept comfortably. I have been able to sleep every night since the surgery with no problems and I recommend the Sleep Again Pillow System for anyone concerned about restricted sleep positions. Thank you Rachel & Kate for making my recovery as comfortable as possible!

Awesome pillow!

It was so easy to sleep on my back with these pillows. Had a double mastectomy Friday and on Saturday slept in the pillows. I felt the embrace of the pillows which made me feel better. God Bless you for this design and the love you put into it! Thank you!!

Why is it better to sleep on my back after surgery?

Doctors recommend sleeping on your back post-mastectomy - and many other surgeries! - to manage surgical drains and dressings. Sleeping on your back helps you to heal optimally and protects incisions from excess pressure.

How can I stay on my back if I'm naturally a side sleeper?

Providing support on both sides of your body is the key to staying on your back while sleeping. The two contoured side pillows in the Sleep Again Pillow System are designed to do just that - provide support to keep you snugly in place.

Why does my upper body have to stay elevated after surgery?

Doctors recommend that you sleep with your upper body elevated after surgery to reduce swelling and bruising. It also improves circulation and reduces fluid build up. In addition, elevating your upper body makes getting out of bed easier.

Why does a wedge under my knees help after surgery?

Elevating your legs after surgery helps prevent swelling. A wedge pillow under your knees can also help with proper alignment in your back.

What arm limitations are recommended after a double mastectomy?

Following a double mastectomy, doctors recommend that you do not raise your arms above your shoulders. This is to protect incisions and sutures as well as keep drains in place.
