Worth the investment

I wish I had purchased this sooner ! After having a mastectomy I had to sleep on my back. It was very tough as I’d always been a stomach sleeper. During the night I’d roll onto my side then wake up in pain. These pillows have helped me get a full night sleep. Easy to set up. The fitted sheet is a great addition.

Welcome Relief

I am so glad I headed the advice of other cancer survivors. These pillows have allowed me to have much needed sleep after surgery and be comfortable during the day as well.
They were so worth the investment!

Amazing Product

The sleep again pillow bundle was so amazing after my mastectomy and reconstruction. I had 2 surgeries prior which I suffered through sleeping in a recliner through my recovery and never seemed like I could get enough sleep. After my mastectomy I was fortunate enough to have the pillow system and slept so soundly and so comfortably. One of the features I loved the most is the way you can move the different pillows around to your own comfort. I would highly recommend this pillow system to anyone going into surgery. I’m so grateful to have had this for my recovery this time around.

True Sleep Saver!

I just had a mastectomy a few days ago and had the Sleep Again Pillow system delivered a few days prior so I could ensure I would have a restful sleep once I got home. It is honestly one of the best healthcare inventions! I am so comfortable in the pillow pod (my name for the system once constructed) and I feel safe that I am not moving my body too much so as not to disturb the surgery site while healing. It is almost a challenge for me to want to get out of bed as it is so cozy! Thank you so much Kate and Rachel for creating this system as my recovery is not looking so bad now.

Why is it better to sleep on my back after surgery?

Doctors recommend sleeping on your back post-mastectomy - and many other surgeries! - to manage surgical drains and dressings. Sleeping on your back helps you to heal optimally and protects incisions from excess pressure.

How can I stay on my back if I'm naturally a side sleeper?

Providing support on both sides of your body is the key to staying on your back while sleeping. The two contoured side pillows in the Sleep Again Pillow System are designed to do just that - provide support to keep you snugly in place.

Why does my upper body have to stay elevated after surgery?

Doctors recommend that you sleep with your upper body elevated after surgery to reduce swelling and bruising. It also improves circulation and reduces fluid build up. In addition, elevating your upper body makes getting out of bed easier.

Why does a wedge under my knees help after surgery?

Elevating your legs after surgery helps prevent swelling. A wedge pillow under your knees can also help with proper alignment in your back.

What arm limitations are recommended after a double mastectomy?

Following a double mastectomy, doctors recommend that you do not raise your arms above your shoulders. This is to protect incisions and sutures as well as keep drains in place.
